Dear all
I am back online and tried to catch up last night. After I went through all the email it is even more clear to me than before that we need an estate manager. Even if the person can be ons site only 3 days a week BUT 3 EIGHT HOUR DAYS and not 3 drive throughs.
For us as trustees with full day time jobs, I would take on any owner in a AGM meeting to do the work and cost we need to do with no remuneration. I feel we are not moving anywhere.
I just spend 15 min on the phone with Maryke and told her we want an answer from them by the next trustee meeting, a proposal of some kind or we are going to move on and appoint someone ourselves.
If anybody wants to object, please do, but I am fed up paying for service and decision that needs to be made and not getting done.
For me this is the highest priority on my list as far as Paryskloof goes and if I can get your authorisation I will run with it but will always keep you in the loop.

I just need to know, this position is not going to be a position permanently because my understanding is, that when all building are done there will be not sufficient work to keep such person busy all day, thus this person will needs to be appointed on a contract basis?

I will try my best to assist, the biggest problem is that I am only available after hours. During the day I have to complete a time sheet and thus need to be at work for 8 hours daily. I can assist
from 6am - 7am and then from 6pm - 10pm. That and the building is an ongoing BIG challenge but I will try to help. Robin unless you are able to help - it would be greatly appreciated
BUT please can we urgently look for a replacement estate manager, Terry if you can maybe contract a few recruitment companies or place an add, because we can't start looking for somebody once you
are gone. I think we need somebody to start January 2015, then you can work with them, until your place is sold.This will ensure the person is fully trained when you leave us.
Or perhaps we can ask the owners of the estate, inform them of the vacancy maybe they know somebody. A referral is always better than a blank C.V.
