Hi Terry

Thank you !

Kindly forward a Word copy of the guidelines, please.

With regards to the other documents, I am not sure how to continue as I see that the current one’s are not being implemented and policed.
I am not replied to or copied in on matters that I have queried with Maryke.
So totally in the dark.

Then I, also, keep getting e-mails about regulations from Maryke, asking my opinion,  when the regulations are specific eg. about extra permits for Jaques Barnard.
Issuing of duplicate permits simply because sub contractors’ are working on two sites is ridiculous. The regulations have been compiled to limit the number of foreign vehicles in the estate (Security issue) thus they only need one to enter the estate and can move (with vehicles) between the sites.

I also notice that there is seldom a vehicle at #59, Ristine’s place, thus no foreman nor supervision. (per the regulations.) (Security issue)

I, also, doubt whether the control documents that were implemented at the Gates for foreman are being monitored as there should have been loads of fines for non-compliances. Refer to my e-mail sent to Googlegroups. Are garden services also being checked with a list of ID’s on entry to the estate ? The chap that I apprehended was a casual worker. This to name a few examples.

Finally, the guidelines and regulations appear to be viewed by the M.C. with a home owners’/builders perspective ie what inconvenience is caused or what suites them. Unfortunately, as can be seen from the rest of the estate’s home owners’ and tenants, they ignore them with impunity.

Your comments would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Ian

I would, kindly, suggest a meeting again with the M.C. to determine the way forward !!

Kindly advise

Hi Ian

I've at last managed to review your suggested changes - they were on a slightly out of date version so I've transferred them over to the final June version and sent them on to the Trustees for their comments.

Have you had time to review The Application to Build and the Contractor's Code of Conduct paperwork?

Kind regards,  Terry

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the copies, is it possible to send a word copy of the Architectural Guidelines as well, please.
You can certainly circulate to other Trustees for their input and to give them an idea of some of the frustration.

Niel and I had a chat last night about these issues and the amount of work, the three of us, put into compiling all the documentation, regulations, controls and trying to oversee them and make decisions to benefit the estate and it appears it has all come to a halt and we are currently back on the old path again.

Sorry to hear that you and Doreen are moving, have you sold or are you going to rent your place out ?

I, personally, think that appointing an estate manager is the only way to go but I think there will be major opposition from a large number of home owners as I guess that levies will need to increase.

I wonder if you could perhaps kindly enquire for me at the next meeting, if at all possible, that the monies that were assigned could rather than be paid out to me, be used to purchase a return airfare flight to the U.K as a gift from the estate for services rendered, as I have not kept a log or records of expenses incurred in the execution of these duties and would rather show it as a gift than income.

Much obliged .

Kind regards

Ian

Hi Ian

Please find attached copies of the other 2 documents in Word format.

Are you happy that I forward your email to the other Trustees for their thoughts?

We are currently investigating (again) employing a full-time Estate Manager since whilst the service we get from A Letting is much better than that was from JPS, it's still not good enough and there is still far too much work that the Trustees have to do.

Doreen and I are in the process of buying a much smaller house in Somerset West which we will move to early in the new year and so I will have to tender my resignation from the Committee at the next meeting, so a full-time Estate Manager is essential.

Kind regards,  Terry

Dear all,

I am however in the dark about Ian’s email below with regards to him, still waiting on feedback on outstanding issues, as I haven’t heard from him in quite some time, and according to me all is being done as per his requests. I’ll email or call him to arrange an meeting with him, to sit and discuss outstanding issues.

With regards to control sheets, The security in front ‘check” in garden workers etc, and at the back gate, I at least ask once in every two weeks ask the guard if there are any noncompliance, such as foreman’s not on site, and expired permits. I asked the guard at the back this morning clearly to inform me of any noncompliance with regards to  builders/contractors.

Kindest Regards

Maryke Smit
