Good morning Ian

Thanks for your comments.  I realise that the driveway is close to the stop street and may cause a problem if some drivers do not drive at the required speed.  However it is a very open section from that direction so I do not see it as a real hazard. I see no evidence in the minutes that it was raised as a concern by other committee members?

Trustees - we would value your input please.

Kind regards,  Terry

Hi Terry,

With the greatest respect, having a driveway on top of the stop street at the busiest intersection in the complex is going to create a problem.

Kind regards

Ian

Hi all, I've at last managed to read your minutes and if I am correct you have asked him to resubmit with a different design to the yard wall?  If that is correct, I see no problem - we just await his re-submission!

Kind regards,  Terry

Hi Maryke, I have received the plans and Gary has sent me the minutes from the last meeting but as yet I have not had time to look at them and I'm in Somerset West at the moment. I will look at them this evening and let you know tomorrow.  Have any of the other Trustees commented?  Regards, Terry

Hi all, I discussed this with Ian last night and it seems there are problems with the design of the house mainly because it's a corner plot.
Maryke, do you have a copy of the plans, if not can you get them back from Dirk so that some of the Trustees can look at them?
Kind regards, Terry

Hi Ian

As discussed at the meeting, this is the difficulty with corner plots. Corner plots were not specifically addressed in the guidelines.
I feel it would be unfair to the home owner to enforce even "stricter" rules on him/her just because of a corner plot.

Further more it would be unfair to the home-owner to delay a decision. and amend a decision already made in a meeting.

Please let me know your thoughts as i have to inform the draughtsman a.s.a p.

Regards

Hi Dirk,

After going through the guidelines and checking it’s impact on site with the position of the driveway and the effect of having a solid wall on the street front to enclose the kitchen area I believe it will create a traffic problem and be unsightly as one enters the estate.

I propose that we scrutinize this plan again to offer alternative options to the owner.

Regards

Ian

Morning Trustees - any feedback?

We are concerned primarily about the look when you drive into the estate of the corner plot next to Ian.
The boundary wall opposite #8 is palisade fencing, which is fine, but immediately behind that fencing is a yard wall to screen the kitchen door, which would open towards incoming traffic, which means that everyone would be able to see it.
Secondly, the driveway of the property is on the side on the plot next to the intersection, which may cause visibility problems for the junction.
We have no issues concerning breaking any guidelines, only that it could look better than what is proposed - Ian, is that correct?

Please look at the plans and give comments.

Regards,

Gary
