Hi, 

I am currently teaching financial modeling but I think it is quite difficult to learn financial modeling from books. However I can recommend the following textbook http://www.amazon.co.uk/Practical-Financial-Modelling-Current-Practice/dp/0750686472. The author is Jonathan Swan from Operis in London. The book is quite ok and teaches you some nice tricks. However I assume you have a short time to study, but don't think that you will know by heart to build up a LBO model by reading the book. 

Also try PER and their training websites: http://pecareerscentre.com/products.htm#fm they have some financial modeling classes that you can buy online. They are interactive and teach you how to build a model from scratch. However I found them a bit too elementary, but may do the job if you are looking for an introduction and not so advanced classes.
