Essential Criteria for selection
Qualification – Post Graduation in Clinical Psychology from recognized university in India.
Experience- Two years experience in clinical work after achieving post graduate qualification. (especially in psycho oncology)
Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, psychological and neuro cognitive testing and psychotherapy for cancer patients
Desirable Criteria –
Two years experience in an Oncology setting
In absence of experience in Oncology setting, experience in any medical health care setting
Skilled and experienced in psychotherapeutic interventions
Ability to work in a team
Compassionate
Job Description-
Will work on following projects:
1) ACT Clinic:
-Need to work at multidisciplinary clinic for cancer survivors
- To do psychosocial counselling of all the cancer survivors attending the clinic and maintain the data
-To liaise with institutes/ other agencies to help the survivor sort his/her issues if required
- To identify and enroll cancer survivors who are eligible for Ugam
(Support group of childhood cancer survivors) ,offer counseling services to Ugam
2) Dr D J Jussawalla Educational & Vocational skills fund for survivors
- To scrutinize and process all the applications for the educational and vocational skills fund of ICS for the benefit of cancer survivors.
- To do psychosocial counselling and monitor educational progress of the cancer survivor
- To identify career guidance centres where survivors can be referred, to liase for appointments, to do joint career counseling sessions with the institute finalized.
- To work as a team member networking with school/college counselor/ do a field visit if required.
3) Others :
-May need to travel to different locations ( Hospitals/schools/classes Etc)
-Required to provide services to other ICS activities ( e.g. Counseling to patients with cancer in ICS rehabilitation tailoring workshop etc) if required to do so.
