Every Journey has its rough and smooth paths leading to the ultimate
destination. Some people say, the journey is everything and some say
reaching the destination gives you the happiness of achievement.
The Journey of AIESEC Mauritius has been similar in pattern with
roughness and smoothness till now. There is something very beautiful
about this organization, which every year the leadership body on
international, national and local level changes or in other words, any
team, team leader or any individual members just have a year to learn,
do mistakes, fail, achieve, grow, succeed etc. Most of the times the
teams and individuals become best and fit for the role in the end of the
term when they are finishing but then they ready for another role.
Past three months have been utterly intense in terms of the work
happening and the decision making which took place as well at the same
time. The new management body for term 2012-13 on national and the local
level has been selected so soon there is going to be new fresh energetic
Leadership body rolling once again on the way. These people will
continue our legacy of engaging and developing every young Mauritian to
empower the youth of this nation.
The essence of AIESEC has always been young dynamic and energetic people
with the belief that they change the world for a better place to live.
And they are supported by some of the top, experienced, talented and
wise people who also believe in there drive, passion and who support
them in the Journey of AIESEC and changing the world. This quarter
report will give you a glimpse of how we have been changing Mauritius
with our actions so far.
The quarter report will also give you a brief of the upcoming activities
through which possibilities of collaboration can be found. We look
forward to any kind of your support to reach out to every young person
of Mauritius.
Thank you,
Deepa Khatri
President 2011-12
AIESEC Mauritius

Every year, all the Leaders of AIESEC come to a common place for meeting
and this time, the International Presidents Meeting happened from 13th
February to 25th February 2012 in Budapest, where 250 Directors from
more than 110 countries gathered, engaged with 40 different youth
organization of the world and 40 top global businesses.
The key objective of this conference was to build on strategies for the
midterm ambition which we call ""Ambition 2015" which aims at engaging
every young person in the world. Such an agenda gave plenty of space for
the participants to brainstorm about various ways we should evolve our
current products to fit for any kind of young person around the world.
To facilitate the process, there were other youth organizations like,
ERASMUS, SCOTT, WEF etc. present to share how is their working
methodology with their members and how do they ensure the delivery of
value to their customers. The agenda also gave space for the newly
elected Presidents to be prepared as CEOs for leading a network of
70,000 members.
Mauritius Delegation was represented by Deepa Khatri, President of
AIESEC Mauritius, where yet again Mauritius was star in the conference,
due of continuation of the excellent work it had been doing in past. The
delegation had a chance to find different business opportunities with
companies like DHL, PwC, Vale, Ericson, Husqvarna, UBS, TCS, Potencia
Ventures, Nike, ING, Alcatel Lucent, P&G etc.
AIESEC Mauritius, the talented organization continued showcasing the
brilliant work they have been doing n different sectors like Community
development and the education sector. They won another award Called the
WENA AFRICA award which means Mauritius is one of the countries which
collaborates with the Western Europe and North America the most in terms
of providing rich experiences to young people.

of other 110 AIESEC countries, discuss about strategies, global
direction, world issues and how they affect young people and role of
youth in this changing world. This international congress was a great
opportunity for young people and their development; those 13 days indeed
were very crucial and helpful to set the direction for the future of the
organization.
