Hi! Team,

Two more days!! It has been such a joy to work with an amazing team - everyone has really stepped up and contributed tremendously to this year's event! 

Here is where we are at:

Service Projects:

• George can give us an update on numbers but there are still a few sites needing more volunteers (https://www.givepulse.com/group/374-Be-The-Change-Austin).
• All the student site leaders have been contacted by Amory. We may need a site lead for the two newer projects - Green Corn and American Youth Works (Volunteer #s are a bit low)
• Team Site Assignments - Please don't forget to indicate what sites you would like to visit after the kick-off (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar5tANlaZ-yLdHZhZzRmYlJnQVBSY0w1S041eHVLWFE#gid=0). I will reach out to Amar, Sohail, Ami, Amory about some of our bigger sites where we will want to deliver snacks (will send an e-mail offline) 
• Today I will work on wrist band and t-shirt distribution 

Kick-Off:

• Amory confirmed our work order, etc. 
• Amar picked up our AV equipment this week, so we are good. He will pick up the projector and screen from SAIVA tomorrow. 
• Amar and Ami plan to do the COSTCO run tomorrow 
• Ami will order breakfast tacos from Taco Cabana and will pick-up (we are ordering around 78 (1.5 person)). She's also talking to Ken's Donuts.
• I will be contacting all the sponsors/speakers today and will keep them on alert of any changes with kick-off location due to rain 
• I will also finalize our kick-off supply list and send to everyone

Media: 

• I'm still waiting to hear from KXAN if they will have us on the show Saturday morning..he said he would get back to me on the time yesterday but no word, so i sent him a reminder. 

Dinner w/ Samip on Saturday Night - We are planning on taking Samip to dinner on Saturday night at Trudy's (North location - Burnet Rd.), 7pm. Please RSVP to me if you plan to attend. I'll try and make reservations. 

Please try and be at the kick-off location between 7am-7:15am to help set-up, i will notify everyone tomorrow night if we plan to move indoors. Wear the new SAALT 2013 T-shirts. If you didn't receive one, I will bring. 

I know a number of us plan to attend the ASian American REsource Center Grand opening tomorrow. I'll have Be the Change materials at the Indian American Coalition of TX table. Please wear your t-shirt from last year!! :)
