Describe these 3 NC Medicaid programs: pregnancy Medicaid (MPW), Medicaid for infants and children (MIC), & the “Be Smart Family Planning Program” and North Carolina Health Choice for Children. What are the income eligibility requirements in NC for each/ compare? Focus on family 2, 3, & 4. How much does each plan cost a client per month? Is there a premium or deductible or copayment? What services are covered in the plan (summarize)? Do you see any big holes in what is not covered? Does the plan run out (i.e. when does Medicaid for pregnant women stop coverage?) Do all providers have to accept Medicaid?
