Panzershreck, Bazooka, Piat vs Inf

Hello how does the to hit number get modified for a Panzershreck, Bazooka or Piat when firing at infantry in a wooden building or Woods hex? Or does it get modified? If one follows the errata 37.5 that states you must add the wooden building and Woods hex TEM to the To hit table BUT not to the To Kill table then how does that get applied against infantry since its the IFT equivalent table that is used and not the to Kill table as indicated in the errata? Would one not add the defensive TEM to the IFT table then? Can't add it to both the TO Hit and IFT as it makes no sense as it seems like double jeopardy...But then it would make a Panzershreck, bazooka or PIAT act just like a Flame thrower that is not affected by TEM on the IFT and I dont think its what is intended here.

As I understand it, there are no mods for the TH.  If there is a hit, there are no further immediate effects from the PFaust.  The real effect is in subsequent IFT shots; the +2 DRM (wooden building) is NA for those shots.

HE Shaped Charge Weapons apply any TEM to either the TH roll or the IFT roll, but not both.  Against targets resolved on the AFV TK Table, it is applied to the TH roll.  Against targets resolved on the IFT, it is applied to the Fire Combat roll.  See 37.47 & Q&A.  Later the CROSS OF IRON second edition QRDC adds a '*' to TH modifiers that apply to SCWs.

I agree, but there is still a benefit against the target infantry.  We should apply the same TH mechanics - the TEM is applied once to either the TH roll or the IFT resolution.  PF would apply it to the TH roll because they have 0 FP value, unlike the other SCWs.

The 37.47 rule is a compromise between ensuring a faust is used for its intended purpose - destroying AFVs and not used against infantry.  To 'encourage' the player to shoot at armor, they reduced the effect on infantry to no wood building TEM.  In actuality, they were often carried by German AFV crews and used in close defense against infantry.  ASL gives them 16 FP, IIRC but they also remove the counters and abstract them with an availability DR.

But the ASL rule is better answered by David, who has a much better understanding.
