A first time VSQL user may be a little confused by the two kinds of files VSQL uses.  The first type is a simple picture of the boards (.vsav).  The second is a recording of your comments, die rolls and counter movements (vlog).  The vsav is used to save your game setup and the vlog is used to record game play.

Hint: Don't log your setup, your opponent doesn't want to log through 15 variations of it.  Use File\Save Game for just a picture.

How to load a log file:
  1. File\load game
  2. Alternately: double click on the log file
  3. works with a .vsav file also.
How to play a log file
  1. Load the log file
  2. Press => button on VSQL tool bar
  3. Alternately press the PgDn button on keyboard.
How to record a log file
  1. File\begin log file to start.
  2. record your turn.
  3. File\end log file to end.
  4. Warning:
    1. If you forget to End Log file and it is lost.
    2. File\ Save file does not work with logs, it only saves a picture file.
    3. Play your opponents log completely before beginning your log file.
    4. check VSQL\Files\Preferences\Auto-report moves
    5. check VSQL\Files\ Preferences\ Center on opponents moves for easier viewing.
