All,

I had a couple questions regarding this scenario, so I thought I'd ask them here ...

First, I wanted to confirm the German sets up first and the Russian moves first. I ask since the provided SSF states the opposite (above the turn marker on the left-hand side of the map).

Second, I was wondering how best to roll for the German vehicles' smoke candles since it's supposed to be unknown to the opponent (until it's revealed via the delayed notes).

hi Mike,

1) follow the scenario card, the Germans setup and then the Russians enter from off board.

2) You roll for an NbW first (Tigers).  If no NbW then roll for SDs (64.52).  You have a few options...

• Roll for it when you want to use it.  Neither of you know until the point of commission.
• Roll in a log that you don't send until after the game.  The file is timestamped.
• Alternately, during setup, enter a key in the delayed notes.  Send a copy to opponent for safe keeping.
  • DR to value
  • 1=6
  • 2=4
  • 3=5
  • etc...
• In a second vsav, roll the Nbw and SD availability.  reveal the note at game end.
