Scripture Reading: Psalm 46:1~11

Prayer is not only "the practice of the presence of God," it is the realization of His Presence!

Please pray for the World and America & California…

1. Please pray for our New President elect as he leads this country!

2. Please continue praying for the Prop 8 that the Supreme Court would uphold the will of the people according to the votes we all have voted.

3. Please continue praying for the weaken US economy. 

4. Pray for divine protection on brothers and sisters’ jobs and businesses.  Pray for those who are looking for jobs.

 Pray for Mission

1. Rev. & Mrs. Brett, Celine Bower (Amelie & Aidan).  Please continue praying for them as they start their mission in Paris.(Sign up to pray:  theb...@svac-cma.org).

SVAC Direction and Process for 2013 and beyond…

The purpose of Silicon Valley Alliance Church is to…Equip 

Growing Disciples who are CONNECTED to…

a. …God(Matthew 22:37), 

b. …One another  (Matthew 22:39) and

c. …Serve the Lord (Ephesians 4:11~15; Matthew 28:18~20)! 

Next Phase: SVAC is trying to become a body of Matured Disciples

The Phase after: SVAC is trying to become a body of Committed Disciples

This is where we want to go!  What about the PROCESS of getting there?

Our Process of getting where we want to go!  The process of becoming a body of Growing Disciples.   We commit to the C.M.A.Focus process. The C.M.A.Focus acronym represents 4 areas of process: Clarity, Movement, Alignment and Focus.

a. Clarity: We seek to communicate CLEARLY the vision and direction of how a person in SVCA can strike to be a Growing Disciples!  We seek to ensure our message is CLEARLY received by our audience!

b. Movement: We seek to measure our people not just Vertically but ALSO HORIZONTALLY.  Vertical measurement measures sizes!  Horizontal measures STRENGTH!

c. Alignment: We seek to ALIGN everything we do in SVAC to the simple and single path we have chosen to provide CLARITY for people to follow.

d. Focus: We seek to focus on the direction at hand by learning to say NO to avoid confusion!

Our Newly Baptized and New Members

1. Please continue praying for the 4 who had just baptized and became the SVAC members.  Please commit to pray for them, at least, for the next 4 weeks that they would continue to grow and walk in Christ.

2. Please pray also for all of them to be the Growing Disciples who connect to God (Matthew 22:37); connect to Others (Matthew 22:39; John 13:34~35) and connect to Serving the Lord (Ephesians 4:11~13, Matthew 28:18~20).

 New College/Young Adult Ministry Vision

1. Please pray for unity and clarity as we come together as one body to learn about this new and important adventure SVAC is embarking.

2. Pray for this ministry, as this is an extremely new ministry.  As we plan, as we execute, pray that God would give us the VISION and PATIENCE to PERSEVERE in this.

3. Pray for Pastor Warrick as he continues to make contact with and minister to the prospects.

Outreach:

1. Line Dance: Please pray for the 2 new ways we try to close in to this group of people.  Please continue praying for our Monthly Line Dance Fellowship as we are trying to gradually incorporate all the Saturday Morning Outreach activities into this Fellowship.  Please continue praying for our Computer Class.

2. Please pray for our Outreach ESL class.  Pray that we will be able to reach these students with the Gospel.  This Saturday will be our last class for this semester.  New Semester begins Jan 5, 2013.

3. Restaurant Fellowship—Pray that God will continue encourage and motivate these brothers and sisters to serve in this very challenging ministry!  Pray that our own brothers and sisters would gradually involve in this ministry!

Church Ministry Needs:

1. Please pray for the Pastoral Search for a Cantonese Pastor! 

2. Please pray for Divine Protection on our Staff and their families!

3. Please pray for God’s guidance in the Mandarin Ministry.

4. Pray for our Board members and departmental heads!   Please pray that God will use them mightily to serve His church.   Pray for divine protection upon our board members and pastoral staff’s health, spiritual lives, family and marriage.

5. Please pray for wisdom for the English Ministry Team (EMT) as this team seeks to serve our English Congregation.

6. Please pray that God would raise up more teachers to teach and more students to attend the English, Sunday School classes

 PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATIONAL NEEDS

1. Pray for those who are in Theological Training and those who are seeking God’s guidance in Full time ministry.

2. Pray for those who are seeking for jobs.

3. Pray for God’s protection on marriages and Families.

4. Proud Parents: Sandra (Alex) Wong (Noah) gave birth to a healthy baby boy on 12/6.  Baby Lucas (黃諾希) was 7.5 lbs in weight and 19 in. in length at birth.  Both mother and baby are doing well at home.

PRAY FOR Grace of God Alliance Church

1. The GGAC Board - clear guidance from God, wisdom and energy.

2. Pray that God would motivate more brothers and sisters to serve.

3. Please pray for the Spiritual health of brothers and sisters!

SPECIAL NEEDS:

Bereavement: Tina Ow’s (Jabbok) mother passed away last week.  Please pray for divine protection for Tina and her son, Henry and Jason, as they will be among the non-believers family members during the funeral.

Please pray for Healing upon:

There are many among us who are coping with different kind of pain and sickness, please remember to include those you know in your prayers.

1. Please also pray for Pat Yip’s (Daniel) brother who was admitted into ICU because of his lung infection.  Pat Yip’s brother has been battling cancer.

2. Please pray for Jane Yeung’s (Agape) grandmother who is getting weaker.  Jane is a new believer and she is really concern about her grandmother’s salvation. Please pray that God would open the door for Jane to share the Gospel with her grandmother who is approaching 90 years of age.

3. Please pray for Ed Yum’s (Bethel) sister in law, Susanna, the wife of his 3rd brother.  She is going through her 4th Chemo for her cancer.  Please pray for healing and her salvation.  Susanna wants to thank you all for praying for her.

4. Pray also for Mr. & Mrs. Tat畢培基夫婦 (Elijah).  Mr. Tat is in a stable condition, but he was hospitalized since last Sunday (11/4) because of his apparent reaction to the new medicine he is taking.  Both Mr. & Mrs. Tat are very weak.  And they are having difficulty walking stably.  Please pray for them.

5. Please continue praying for Pastor Warrick (Cathy) Leung’s father, Philip (Rebecca) Leung (Elijah).  Philip’s condition is stable and he is home now.  Please pray that he would continue to gain strength so further treatment for his cancer could be administrated.   Please keep this family in your prayers.

6. Please pray for Christine (Daniel) Yip’s (Lighthouse) mother.  She is diagnosed to have stage 4 cancer and she has started target treatment.  Please pray for God’s healing upon her and pray that God would sustain the family.  Christine’s mother attends the West Valley Alliance Church.

7. Please keep praying for Lisa's (Peter) Ting (Canaan) aunt's 5th daugther, Angel Lai, 14 yrs old who is a very good Christian.   She has been fighting her ovarian cancer.  Please pray for this young little girl that our Lord would heal her and that our Lord would lessen her pain and discomfort.

8. Continue to pray for Alice Ng (Jabbok)’s sister-in-law, Esther as she continues to recover from her tonsil cancer! Please continue praying for healing and strength.

9. Cecilia Wong’s friend, Lancy – She’s a Christian and married with 1 teenage kid. Pray for healing upon her insomnia and her stomach issue.
