Prayer List (11/07/2012)

Scripture Reading: Matthew 11:20~28

The one concern of the Devil is to keep Christians from Praying.  He fears nothing from a prayerless studies, prayerless work, prayerless religion.  He laugs at our toils, mocks at our wisdom but trembles when we pray!

魔鬼首要關注就是要阻止基督徒禱告.牠無懼於那無禱告的研讀,那無禱告的事工,那無禱告的信仰.牠嘲笑我們的辛勞,牠恥笑我們的智慧,但牠卻在我們的禱告前顫抖.

Please pray for the World and America & California…

1.    Please pray for the ongoing Presidential Election.  Pray for our New President elect!

2.    Please pray for the North Eastern Region of America who is pounded by the Hurricane Sandy.  Pray for the families of the 17 victims who were killed in this superstorm.

3.    Please pray for CALIFORNIA Please pray for our Governor! Pray for the SPIRITUAL and the worsen budget crisis!

4.    Please continue to pray for our President as he leads this country!

5.    Please continue praying for the weaken US economy. 

6.    Pray for divine protection on brothers and sisters’ jobs and businessesPray for those who are looking for jobs.

 Pray for Mission

1.    Rev. & Mrs. Brett, Celine Bower (Amelie & Aidan).  Please continue praying for them as they start their mission in Paris.(Sign up to pray:  theb...@svac-cma.org).

Pray for Our Church

Praise The Lord:

  1. One person accepted Christ in our Alpha Day Away; another accepted Christ in our Sisters’ Retreat.
  2. Another accepted Christ through the Restaurant Short Term Mission and Restaurant Fellowship.
  3. After the ESL class this past week, one of the students, a long time attendee of the City Team Outreach, finally expressed willingness to accept Christ!

Prayer Focus of 11/07/2012: SVAC Election on 11/11/2012

  1. Please pray for the nominated candidates.
  2. Please prayerfully prepare yourself as you cast the vote.
  3. Please pray that we all would be mindful of these candidates and continue to pray for each and every one of them and their families as they serve in 2013.

Prayer Focus: New College/Young Adult Ministry Vision

  1. Please pray for unity and clarity as we come together as one body to learn about this new and important adventure SVAC is embarking.
  2. Pray for this ministry, as this is an extremely new ministry.  As we plan, as we execute, pray that God would give us the VISION and PATIENCE to PERSEVERE in this.
  3. Pray for Pastor Warrick as he continues to make contact with and minister to the prospects.

Outreach:

  1. Line Dance: Please pray for the 2 new ways we try to close in to this group of people.  Please continue praying for our Monthly Line Dance Fellowship on the 3rd Saturday as we are trying to reach out to the line dancers.  Please pray as we are trying to gradually incorporate all the Saturday Morning Outreach activities into this Fellowship.  Please continue praying for our Computer Class.
  2. Please pray for our Outreach ESL class Pray that we will be able to reach these students with the Gospel.
  3. Restaurant Fellowship—Pray that God will continue encourage and motivate these brothers and sisters to serve in this very challenging ministry!  Pray that our own brothers and sisters would gradually involve in this ministry!

 

 Church Ministry Needs:

  1. Please pray for the Pastoral Search for a Cantonese Pastor!
  2. Please pray for Divine Protection on our Staff and their families!
  3. Please pray for God’s guidance in the Mandarin Ministry.
  4. Pray for our Board members and departmental heads!   Please pray that God will use them mightily to serve His church.   Pray for divine protection upon our board members and pastoral staff’s health, spiritual lives, family and marriage.
  5. Please pray for wisdom for the English Ministry Team (EMT) as this team seeks to serve our English Congregation.
  6. Please pray that God would raise up more teachers to teach and more students to attend the English, Sunday School classes

 

 PRAY FOR OUR CONGREGATIONAL NEEDS

  1. Pray for those who are in Theological Training and those who are seeking God’s guidance in Full time ministry.
  2. Pray for those who are seeking for jobs.
  3. Pray for God’s protection on marriages and Families.

PRAY FOR Grace of God Alliance Church

  1. The GGAC Board - clear guidance from God, wisdom and energy.
  2. Pray that God would motivate more brothers and sisters to serve.
  3. Please pray for the Spiritual health of brothers and sisters!

SPECIAL NEEDS:

Please pray for Healing upon:

There are many among us who are coping with different kind of pain and sickness, please remember to include those you know in your prayers.

  1. Please pray for Ed Yum’s (Bethel) sister in law, Susanna, the wife of his 3rd brother.  She is going through her 4th Chemo for her cancer.  Please pray for healing and her salvation.  Susanna wants to thank you all for praying for her.
  2. Pray also for Mr. & Mrs. Tat畢培基夫婦 (Elijah).  Mr. Tat is in a stable condition, but he was hospitalized since last Sunday (11/4) because of his apparent reaction to the new medicine he is taking.  Both Mr. & Mrs. Tat are very weak.  And they are having difficulty walking stably.  Please pray for them.
  3. Please continue praying for Pastor Warrick (Cathy) Leung’s father,  Philip (Rebecca) Leung (Elijah) Philip’s condition is stable and he is home now.  Please pray that he would continue to gain strength so further treatment for his cancer could be administrated.   Please keep this family in your prayers.
  4. Please pray for Christine (Daniel) Yip’s (Lighthouse) mother.  She is diagnosed to have stage 4 cancer and she has started target treatment.  Please pray for God’s healing upon her and pray that God would sustain the family.  Christine’s mother attends the West Valley Alliance Church.
  5. Please keep praying for Lisa's (Peter) Ting (Canaan) aunt's 5th daugther, Angel Lai, 14 yrs old who is a very good Christian.   She has been fighting her ovarian cancer.  Please pray for this young little girl that our Lord would heal her and that our Lord would lessen her pain and discomfort.
  6. Please pray for divine healing upon the mother of a family in the English Congregation, Joey (Andrew) Lai (EC).  Joey's mother has cancer and it has spread to her liver.  Please pray...the family needs us to stand with them.
  7. Continue to pray for Alice Ng (Jabbok)’s sister-in-law, Esther as she continues to recover from her tonsil cancer! Please continue praying for healing and strength.
  8. Cecilia Wong’s friend, Lancy – She’s a Christian and married with 1 teenage kid. Pray for healing upon her insomnia and her stomach issue.
