Vendor, Exhibitor, Presenter & Entertainer Invitation Letter

2011 Auraria Sustainable Campus Festival

Exhibitor and Presenter Invitation Letter

Each semester starting in 2009, the Auraria Sustainable Campus Program (SCP) has sponsored an event highlighting sustainability in Colorado and on the Auraria campus. The SCP is a student funded initiative whose purpose is to green the Auraria campus by identifying and funding energy, waste, and water reduction projects as well as funding renewable energy production. The Auraria is among the top 20 campuses in the country thanks to the efforts of the SCP and is ranked no. 14 in the EPA’s Green Power Partnership list of top preforming college campuses. This year, we would like to extend an open invitation to companies, organizations, and individuals to participate in our event as a Vendor, Exhibitor, Presenter or Entertainment. There is no fee to participate in the event, we only require that you employ a strong emphasis on sustainability* within your organization and regular working activities and able to effectively present this information to the participants in an educational and interactive format. We highly encourage exhibitors to include or demonstration components within your presentation. If your a solar company, bring solar panels, if your a sustainable food vendor, bring sustainable foods.

The Event will be held on the south walkway of the Tivoli Student Union on the Auraria Campus in Denver. The event will be two days, Wednesday the 13th and Thursday the 14th of April from 10am to 5pm. Vendors will be asked to bring tents if they have them or to contact the SCP if you are unable to locate one for your use. The event will have two stages, one for live music and the other for speakers, presentations and debate on sustainability issues. The SCP is able to provide a limited number of tables and chairs which will be provided on a reservation basis so be sure to include your requests in the online application.

If your organization is interested in reaching the 40,000+ students on Colorado’s most populous campus and have a sustainable message to share then this event proves to be an ideal venue.

Registering for our event is very simple. Simply go to www.sustainableauraria.org/fesival and click in the “Register” tab. Your information will be collected and we will send you a confirmation email or contact you by phone to confirm your participation. Bands wishing to play at the Event can submit their music and links to online demos using the same registration link. We will be hiring between 6 and 8 acts over the 2 day event. Bands with strong environmental credentials will be given priority. You can also find contact information on the “contacts” tab. You can also contact Rima Chaib at cha...@gmail.com  719-648-7423 or Jonathan Raabe at jonr...@sustainableauraria.org 720 341 6376 with questions.

We look forward speaking with you and hope to see you at our Festival!
