as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAE) on the basis of their GATE 2015 scores.

Job profile
Engineers: candidates selected for this post will be stationed in one of the divisions of IndianOil like Refineries, Marketing, Pipelines and Business Development, or in the corporate
functions like Corporate Information Systems, or in subsidiary or joint venture companies.
In Refineries division, based on the qualification the postings may be in engineering services, process, production, projects, power plants, maintenance inspection etc. In Marketing division, the Officers/Engineers may be posted in aviation services, engineering,
operations, maintenance and inspection, sales and marketing, technical services, quality control etc. In Business Development they may be posted in petrochemical and polymer projects, operations, sales/marketing, gas, renewable energy etc. Mining engineers
may need to work in bulk explosive plants for undertaking various activities.
Geologists/ Geophysicists:
Geologists will be involved in analysing and interpreting geological data, maps, basins; estimating oil and gas reserves; supervising wire-line logging operation and monitoring the production among other things.
Geophysicists will be managing 2D and 3D seismic data acquisition; analysing geophysical data; preparing well proposals, reservoir reviews and field reviews among other responsibilities.
Selected candidates may be posted or transferred to any division, unit, subsidiary company or office of the Company in India or abroad.
Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAE): Some Graduate Engineers will be taken in as Graduate Apprentice Engineers (GAEs) in Refineries and Pipelines Divisions according to the Apprenticeship Act, 1961(and subsequent amendments thereafter). GAEs are provided with stipend for a year and may be absorbed by the organisation if they perform satisfactorily.

Age of the candidate must be maximum 26 years (for engineering disciplines) and 28 years (for geology/ geophysics) as on 30 June, 2015 for the general category. Age has been relaxed for the reserved class.

Based on the GATE 2015 score, candidates will be shortlisted for the Group Interview, Group Task and the Personal Interview session.
Salary
Officers/Engineers will receive a basic pay of Rs.24,900 per month, Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances. The Cost-to-Company will be about
Rs.11 lakhs per annum inclusive of performance related pay and will vary according to the posting, financial performance of the company and the performance rating of the individual.
Other allowance will include HRA, subsidized housing accommodation, medical facilities, performance related pay, gratuity, contributory provident Fund, employees pension scheme, group personal accident insurance scheme, leave encashment, leave travel concession,
contributory superannuation benefit fund scheme, conveyance advance/maintenance reimbursement, performance related incentives etc. as per the company rules, as amended from time to time.
