Hello Think owners

My headlights appear to have both burnt out, within a month or 2 of each other. Fine. The small bulbs easily accessible from the sides of the housing are fine. It’s the brighter ones I just can’t get to.

There must be a trick? I could start taking stuff apart, but if the housing just snaps off or something…. Also I can’t be breaking stuff at this point.

Any assistance is much appreciated!

George
Pink 2011, just short of 30k miles. Wintertime range ~40 if I sparingly use the heater.

There are thumbscrews holding the headlight housing in, remove those and the headlight should slide out the front.

So, one side had a rusted off spade connector on the black wire. Probably contacted the red and blew the fuse.

Halogen bulbs look perfect.  They are two different brands. Maybe I replaced one?

Anyhow, I'm tearing up the place trying to find the manual so I can locate the fuse.

I'll keep looking, but anyone happen to know which one?

Thanks!

George

I'm nowhere near my car, sorry I can't help you with that one! Hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to figure out which fuse it is. Best of luck!

After the requisite amount of futzing, back in business

  • KIRK: "Mr. Spock, isn't that too much for our purposes?"
  • SPOCK: "I believe that is the correct amount, Captain."
