Hi folks,

I'm considering getting a Think City for my daily commute (used to drive an iMiEV in the UK, but that won't cope with the 67 mile (return) journey to work I need to do with no charger at the far end. We currently have a Honda Insight (first generation) which is a 2-seater so I'm reluctant to buy another 2-seater (as whenever we visit family, they have to drive - and we're looking at having a kid in the near future).

Does anyone know of a source for the rear-seat-kit that was apparently available in Europe?

And have faint optimism that someone might know of a US source for kits (and a price!).

Thanks.

The photoset of installation are mine.  I put the back seat option into my Red Think City.  I think all the ones in the US are probably long ago sold off.

When Beth was trying to sell the TH!NK inventory there were nearly 100 of these rear seat kits available. (The seat belts may have to be sourced separately.) I don't know if any seat kits went with the final sale or not.  The person to contact about the current TH!NK inventory is Tom Goesch, tcgo...@mac.com

Hiya Jim,

Thank you! That’s great - I’ve already fired off an e-mail, and if that turns out to be positive then there may well be a Think City in my future.

Hey Kate,

I hope it does work out for you. If you are interested, we will have a customer's car for sale at our store next week.

Here is list of needed parts with pictures. Are prises still about correct?

I am also living in Europe and Think to buy rearseat :) Almost buy it in 70% discount.. But I didnt had Think at that time.

Do you know is anyone doing 427 software updates in Europe? I asked local Think Service in Finland, and they says that Valmet dont give
permission to do this 427 update? Valmet says that 427 is not official Think update? Still we have 2 Think in Finland with 140km/h Speedmeter and faster software, maybe that 427.

Thanks -Bj

Hi Katherine,
How did it go? We're you able to find out more about the rear seats and seat belts?

I did find seats - but not a complete kit - and ended up going for a used first generation Rav4 in the end…

I bought one of the kits a few years back and took some pictures of the installation process.

We wanted a seat kit, but ended up not getting one for multiple reasons.
1. Could not get the people with the Think parts to email me back after I submitted my order.
2. The seat they claimed they had for sale didn't have seat belts.
3. The reason why the US versions don't come with rear seats is because it wouldn't pass the safety rating with the rear seat.
4. Even if all the above were resolved, the child seats would not fit in the rear facing position;there simply isn't enough space.

Wanted to make it to the Think-in, but with a new baby it didn't come together this time.

We want to sell our Think City so that we can get an EV that we can put two child seats in the second row.
