I'll be there around 9:30ish armed with plenty of dollar bills for basketball and buck hunter.  I need to hone my skills.

Same. See you at 9:30. It's my understanding that there will be no mystery guests tonight, correct?

Still trying to get healthy for the weekend so I won't make it tonight but let me know what you all get up to tomorrow.

Might be going to a 4th of July wine event at Central Bottle after work.

Trivia / discussion question of the day.

What is the most famous sporting arena in the world? To consider: does
it still have to be in use today? Do concern and non sporting events
held add to the famousness? Other?

Looking forward to your responses.

The Colosseum in Athens. I do not believe they have had any concerts there but U2 is probably working on that right now.

The colesseum has our vote at work. However the discussion continues with modern day facilities? Wembley in England and Yankee stadium are both hot contendors, thought both no longer exist.

In strong fashion, Fenway is favorite.

A friend threw out Madison Square Garden. I feel like that's a decent suggestion.

Arena's are for entertainment: from Galdiators to Kira's U2. As far as Arena's are concerned the Colosseum is a good contender.

Sports I associate more with Stadia. How about the Stadium in Olympia, Greece? The word stadium has it's roots there actually.
Or the Circus Maximus in Rome that could hold 250,000 spectators?

architecturally I'm partial to Beijings birdsnest.

I second the race track idea.  Dem's dere kin beh huge.  Personally, I'd be surprised if the Colosseum is still the largest.  We talking capacity?  Physical size?

Come on Adam, we all know size doesn't matter.

Looking for most famous. Ie National championships held, world cups, olympics. Papal visits. Historic fights. Major concerts. That kind of thing.

Only the 94 rangers have won at MSG. But they do hold the Westminster dog show each year.

Wikipedia the venues and you'll find hours of good entertainment.

Ha.  Colosseum takes it then.  I don't see anyone stacking Heineken's in the shape of MSG.
