Just as a review of writing skills we introduced a few weeks but have
almost forgotten, you are going to write three compound sentences: one
with a FANBOYS, one with a CONJUNCTIVE ADVERB, and one with a
semicolon. In addition, you are to incorporate antithesis, parallel
structure, and specific detail.

Two examples:

Con Adv: Gallant respectfully watches the Israeli tourist video
despite his reservations about it; meanwhile, Goofus intentionally
flashes his laser pointer on the Claymation figure's head to show his
disdain for the tacky video.

FANBOYS: Gallant carefully places the wrapper of his Cliff bar in the
trash can, but Goofus tosses the half-eaten remnants of his pink-
frosted cupcake underneath his seat on the bus.

Remember to check punctuation. Parallel structure need NOT be
perfect.
