I am sending the Prayer List to you because I want to call upon your prayers for Pastor Tenny Hong. He will be going through a major surgery on his lung tonight around 10 PM our time (Hong Kong Time: Tuesday (3/25) at 1:00 PM).

Please pause tonight at 10 PM and lift our Missionary family in your prayers.

We need to also pray for family of Mr. Co Tat ²¦°ö°ò¥ý¥Í (Elijah) 

Mr. Co Tat ²¦°ö°ò¥ý¥Í (Elijah) went home to be with the Lord this past Saturday morning (3/22) at 1:30 AM.  Please pray for the family.

 The Memorial Service will be this Saturday (3/29), 10:00 AM at Gate of Heaven            Cemetery located at 22555 Cristo Rey Dr, Los Altos, CA 94024  (650) 428-3730

1.    Please pray for Amanda Tam, who is raised in SVAC.  She is in Manila, Philippines since Jan 2014 to live among the needy to share the Gospel with the people there.  Please commit to pray for her… pray for God’s Provision and Protection!  Thank God for Amanda’s parents, Steve and Elaine (Emmanuel), for their supports.  Please that they would also experience God’s tremendous blessings as they step out in faith.

                        Please pray for Pastor Tenny’s surgery this Tuesday (3/25; 1 PM) Hong                                 Kong Time (It will be Monday 3/24; 10 PM our time).  Please pray that the                               surgery would be a smooth one and that he would recover fully and                                         speedily.

                        Here is the excerpts from his letter (see attached PDF for details)

                                    … part of my health problems may related to a rare disease named                                   Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformations (PAVM).

                                    PAVM are caused by abnormal communications between blood vessels                            of the lung. Simply put, blood bypasses lung tissues and feedback directly to the                              heart. As result, not enough oxygen carries to the brain that maybe the cause of                              the various health problems. Other concern includes the increasing risk of getting                        stroke because blood was not able to filter by the lung tissues.

                                    PAVM is not like cancer. There is no immediate dangerous at this                                      moment. I sought opinion with several doctors and specialists. Some suggested                           surgical procedure like Lobecomy (remove a lobe of the lung) should perform                                  before the situation getting worse.

                                    I will be checking with public hospital soon to see what medical procedure                         they can provide for this particular case. Thank you for praying for me and for my                     family. I believe God is in total control. I pray that He will be glorified through the                                  weaknesses I experience at this time. I will keep you posted once I have further                                decision made.

1.      Our Speaker Rev. OB O’Brian’s safe journey to SVAC this weekend.  Pray for strength and energy as Rev. O’Brian travels to different churches to share.

2.    Pray for one another and encourage one another to come to all the meetings on Friday (8 PM), Saturday (7 PM) and 3 Services on Sunday

3.    Pray that we would see this as an opportunity to support our Missionary from Cambodia.

4.    Divine protection on brothers and sisters’ jobs and businesses.  Pray for those who are looking for jobs.

 

            SPECIAL NEEDS:

               Bereavement: Mr. Co Tat ²¦°ö°ò¥ý¥Í (Elijah) went home to be with the Lord this past                 Saturday morning (3/22) at 1:30 AM.  Please pray for the family.

            There are many among us who are coping with different kind of pain and      sickness, please remember to include those you know in your prayers.

1.    Pray for healing upon Pauline (Wilson) Lee (Elijah). She is dealing with some health issue.

2.    Pray for healing upon Josephine (William) Luk’s (Canaan) father, Joseph Liu’s health condition.  He suffers from a terminal cancer!  Pray that God would sustain him during this difficult time and that his discomfort would be lessen.

3.    Pray for healing upon Lancy (Albert) Wong’s health condition.  She experiences insomnia and anxiety for about 2 years now.  Lancy’s biopsy came back positive.  Thank you for your prayers… Lancy’s surgery on last Friday was a successful one.  Please pray for the subsequent treatment.   Lancy and Albert were introduced to SVAC through Cecilia Wong about 2 years ago.

4.    Pray for Mrs. Tat’s²¦°ö°ò¤Ó¤Ó (Elijah) health as she goes through a moment of grief during this difficult time.

5.    Please continue praying for Pastor Warrick (Cathy) Leung’s father, Philip (Rebecca) Leung (Elijah).  Please pray that God would continue strengthen him and lessen his discomfort.

6.    Please pray for Christine (Daniel) Yip’s (Lighthouse) mother.  She is diagnosed to have stage 4 cancer.   The cancer spread to her spine, and she is in pain. Christine’s mother attends the West Valley Alliance Church.

7.    Thank you for praying for Lisa's (Peter) Ting (Canaan) aunt's 5th daughter, Angel Lai, 14 yrs old who is a very good Christian.   She has been fighting her ovarian cancer.  She is doing well.  Please continue to pray for this young little girl that our Lord would heal her and that our Lord would lessen her pain and discomfort.

                       

Connecting to Serving the Lord in our Prayers

            Church Ministries:

1.    Divine protection on our Church, Pastoral Staff, the leaders and their families!!

2.    Please pray for God’s guidance in the Mandarin Ministry.

3.    Pray for our Board members and departmental heads!   Please pray that God will use them mightily to serve His church.   Pray for divine protection upon our board members and pastoral staff’s health, spiritual lives, family and marriage.

4.    Please pray for God’s guidance and provision for a Church Building as we continue to seek His will.  In the mean time, please do not park your car in the neighboring business parking lots.  3 of our people’s cars were towed this past Sunday (3/23) in the Saver’s parking lot.

5.    Please pray for wisdom for the English Ministry Team (EMT) as this team seeks to serve our English Congregation.

6.    Please pray that God would raise up more teachers to teach and more students to attend the English Sunday School classes

7.    Line Dance: Please pray for the 2 new ways we try to close in to this group of people.  Please continue praying for our Monthly Line Dance Fellowship.

8.    Please pray for our Outreach ESL class.  Pray that we will be able to reach these students with the Gospel with the remainder of the quarter.  ESL will wrap up their quarter this Saturday (3/18).  New Term resumes: April 12, 2014 (Sat).

Connecting to Serving the Lord in our Prayers

            Church Ministries:

9.    Restaurant Fellowship (Mainly Mandarin Speaking)—Pray that God would continue to encourage and motivate these brothers and sisters to serve in this very challenging ministry!  Thank God for our own brothers and sisters’ involvement in this ministry!  There are gradually more people from the Restaurant Ministry attending our CS1.

Praise the Lord for giving us another opportunity to reach out to the Cantonese speaking restaurant workers every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday of the week (from 3-5 PM) beginning Tue (3/11).

 

            Grace of God Alliance Church

1.    The GGAC Board - clear guidance from God, wisdom and energy.

2.    Pray that God would motivate more brothers and sisters to serve.

3.    Please pray for the Spiritual health of brothers and sisters!
