Community Walk 12/14 & 12/15 and Christmas Day Community Luncheon 12/25

Hi all,

 

We did our first community walk this past Sat.  It was a great experience for the group.  We got a chance to talk with many of the residents.  We’ll have 2 more opportunities to do something like this:

 

In preparing for the community luncheon on Christmas Day 12/25, we want to invite our church congregation to go into our Milpitas communities and personally invite the residents to come to the luncheon.

 

The dates and times are:

12/14 Sat. 2p-4p community walk with Caroling

12/15 Sun. 2p-4p community walk

 

Please come and join us. We'll meet at 1:30pm in room D-1 for briefing and prayer before the walk.

 

About the Christmas Day Community Luncheon on 12/25, you can sign up at the lobby in the next few Sundays. But you can also sign up online:

 

Go to our church web site (www.svac-cma.org) and login (username: svac, password: member) --> Upcoming Events --> "12/25 helpers sign up".

 

There are multiple ways to participate:

1. To serve in different areas (Cater about 600 meals)

2. To Give:

     -About 25 cooked, sliced Turkey (12-16 lbs)

     -About 30 bags of cooked, sliced ham (Costco/Safeway/Nobhill Size- ~10 lb each)

     -Whole Garden Fruits-i.e. apples, oranges, persimmons etc. (No cutting needed)

     -About 100 Apple/Pumpkin Pies (6 slices per pie)

3. To Donate - Designated check to “Community Outreach”
