Hi dear brothers and sisters,

 

How's your list coming along?  Finally as of this morning, I came up with my entire list.  Like I said, it wasn't easy as I approached 37th but it did keep me thankful and grateful for all that I received from my Lord.  And I want to share my list with all of you:

 

If Jesus is here right now, I want to thank Him for...

1. His cross and His empty tomb

2. Enough clothes to wear
3. A reliable car to get me to places

4. Forgiveness of my sins (past and future ones)
5. A roof over my head
6. The privilege of prayer (as I was praying for many of you that morning)
7. A steady income
8.  My five senses
9. The joy of giving
10. The Lord’s Table
11. A companion
12. Peace and freedom in our land
13. My church – not perfect but a good one
14. Assurance about life after death
15. His patience with my spiritual growth and progress
16. Beautiful stars at night
17. The place you have prepared for me in heaven
18. Even for problems that help me grow spiritually

19. Created me the way I am

20. What He is doing in us and through us this year

21. This nice supermarket cash registrar

22. The rain we received this week

23. This upcoming thanksgiving break and so I can cook

24. The wonderful teacher Clarisse has

25. The ability to work and provide for my family

26. Charlotte's safe trip

27. Calli's health and the many many funny words she has spoken

28. Many many many of the prayers prayed from our fellow co-workers around the globe

29. The rice, pork chops, veggies, and eggs I received tonight at dinner table

30. The education I received to prepare my future learning

31. My neighbors whom I have the opportunities to get to know

32. The phone call I just received

33. The good memories about many many of the people I know from the past

34. The ability to have good night sleep

35. My limited understanding of His unconditional love and His "hesed" lovingkindness

36. His assured second coming and to be the King of all kings

37. The miracles He performed to show us who our God is like

38. Teaching His disciples how to pray and teaching me as well

39. His power and His spirit for me to overcome sin and have victory

40. Giving some people the intelligence to create the technological marvels of our time

41. His constant reminder for me to renew my commitment with Charlotte

42. His wide, long, high, and deep love for me (although sometimes I don't feel it but He does)

43. Loving that prostitue in John 8 (showing me that I can be like that women or at times like the Pharisees)

44. Loving all then lepers regardless of their response

45. Diverting the car in front of me to avoid an accident

46. Putting all things together for the good of those who love Him

47. Leading me to the green pastures for peaceful rest and nourishment

48. The compliments and criticism I received in the past

49. Challening me to be like that one leper who returns

50. Forgiving me when I'm like those nine lepers who forgot to return

 

Hope this exercise helps all of us to see the great God He is to each one of us.  God bless.
