Dear All,
For Sunday, September 5th, Labor Day Weekend, I would like no one to take off, as that's our day to support our local Greenpoint Food Bank, run by a church on Milton St. The Pastor came up with the idea to buy extra runs.
So it shall be done. We will have all of McCarren's ballfields at our access, all day, from Noon until Lights-out. Of course, there is an after-party.
Thus, for $10, anyone can buy an extra run. The crew and I will sit down and go over some ground rules, but yes, theoretically, one team could buy a mercy on another, if the other team is unable to match.
All Brooklyn Kickball teams, both Sunday and Tuesday, are encouraged to forsake the beach and play. Yes, Sunday teams, these games count, so have a thick wallet and a proper perspective. Additionally, I am inviting WAKA teams, company teams, bar teams, softball teams, our tournament friends, and anyone else wanting fun and soul-cleansing.
Please talk to your employer and/or rich uncle, and get them to sponsor your team.
Our flier is attached, and a formal PDF is coming today or tomorrow. Please, let's make this huge from our hearts, and raise a trillion dollars for the starving in our area.
