Does anyone have any idea about Winter Clothing required?
What kind of clothing is required to bit the winter here? :)
Which is the right time to buy winter clothes?
Which are the places to get those clothes?
Where can one get a good deal?
Best Regards,
Neha...
Well, the good news is you have plenty of time to get ready for winter
in Ann Arbor...the bad news is that it's going to be hard to find
anything on sale at this time of year. Most stores will probably be
getting their winter clothing lines out in late September.
I'd definitely visit some less expensive stores like Old Navy or
Target - they usually have pretty good winter lines that won't break
the bank. You'll need to have a warm winter coat, hat, gloves, scarf,
and a lot of warm sweaters. If you walk a lot, I'd also recommend
getting good winter boots, because the snow can make things pretty icy
& slippery around here. There's a DSW on Washtenaw (by 23) that should
have good boots in the fall. And if you've never gotten a winter coat
before, my advice is that you probably can't get a coat that's too
warm...you might be surprised how big & heavy a good coat can be, but
it gets pretty cold in December, January, & February and it's better
to be over prepared than freezing for three months.
Good luck!
Miranda

Also, don't forget to get long underwear for your kids - it's a life
saver on really cold days.
