Greetings from IIM Ahmedabad !!!


A warm welcome from Team-Insight, 2012. Insight is IIMA’s Market Research (MR) Carnival. This year Insight celebrates its Silver Jubilee and we are proud to be ISO 9001:2008 certified.


This year Insight will be held on 29th – 30th September, 2012. 


Insight, the oldest fest at IIM-Ahmedabad, this year in its 25th Edition, promises to challenge and stretch the budding marketers to their limits and provide them a platform to hone their skills through its mind-boggling array of Marketing Strategy & Research Events.


With participation from the best budding Marketers in the country, Insight brings together a Marketing extravaganza covering the entire spectrum. Starting with a workshop and seminar by the leading MR agency in the country; Live MR projects from India’s top corporate houses, Insight shall finally culminate with “The Great Ahmedabad Mela” on the final day.


We hereby present to you the flagship events to be held as part of this year’s edition of Insight:


Retail Bites


On behalf of Insight 2012 at IIM Ahmedabad, we are proud to present an event that is designed not just to test your theoretical knowledge in marketing but will allow you to apply your skills in a real life situation. In this event, we test your knowledge and expertise by making you run a retail stores for 1 day.

Wizards of Barter

After a successful first year, Insight 2012 in its Silver Jubilee Edition is proud to present the second edition of Wizard of Barter - the first of its kind marketing strategy event. And this time it’s going to bigger, even more competitive than you can imagine and with a promise of even bigger prizes. Test your ability to step into the shoes of the top management of a firm and design its go-to-market strategy. But the buck doesn't stop here! Battle it out with the competing teams over market share by designing strategies specifically to counter theirs. The brand that stays one step ahead of its adversaries is destined to rule the market. More than 500 students battled out in the elimination round last year and WIMEI Victors – a team from XLRI turned out the ultimate winners.

Productomania

On behalf of Insight 2011 team, IIM Ahmedabad, it gives us immense pleasure to invite you to"Productomania", a one of its kind platform to showcase your marketing prowess. Each team shall be assigned a start-up and shall be provided details regarding its product/service offering. "Productomania" requires teams to formulate Marketing strategies that these firms could potentially adopt for their products or services.

Bone of Contention

The idea behind bone of contention is to explore the ability of participants to think on the feet and convince the other participants as well as the audience about their point of view. It will also explore the marketing acumen that the bright young management grads possess and the depth of their knowledge into the marketing world.

Waking the Dead

On behalf of the silver jubilee edition of Insight, IIM Ahmedabad, it gives us immense pleasure to invite you to "Waking the Dead", a unique, first time event to test your marketing prowess. Waking the Dead in its first year of conception, involves teams coming up with a marketing strategy for brands that have been lost in the eddies of time. They have to find a target market for the brand and develop a strategy to bring the brand back in action. In the final round, teams will be allocated dead brands from the past for which they have to come up with presentations and advertisements to pitch their brands to the prospective targets customers.

Einblick  

So, you think you can succeed with your own might? This world offers you with opportunities which can only be exploited hand in hand with others. For the first time in the 27 year long history of Insight, we welcome you to Einblick, a platform to showcase your impeccable management skills to achieve a super-ordinate goal with the aid of others. But beware; everything comes with a price when opportunities and threats lurk at every corner. Only those shall remain standing who can plan, prioritize and predict that too, in a short span of time. Victory shall be bestowed only on those who can collaborate and compete simultaneously.


Music2Go


Insight 2012, welcomes all of you to participate in Music2go – an interactive online marketing simulation game. The idea behind this event is to test the marketing fundamentals of the teams and how the teams respond to the competition. Music2go will give you the opportunity to have practical hands on experience at making critical marketing decisions and seeing the outcome in a live, interactive case study.



Neilson workshop & Perfect relations will be marketing workshops on market research and brand management respectively.
