If you have the passion, WHEELS can give you the ammunition!!

WHEELS is an initiative to promote Entrepreneurship among the IIT community. The WHEELS Young Entrepreneur Award 2012 is open to IIT alumni and their family members, students and faculty. The event patrons include Kanwal Rekhi, Arjun Malhotra and Vinod Gupta.

A cash prize of Rs 50,000/- will be awarded to the winner in each of the six tracks - Water, Health, Education, Lifestyles and Security. The Grand Prize across tracks will be upgraded to Rs1,00,000/-, if all the criteria is met.

Entries will be judged by a panel of experts in their respective areas. All promising ideas will get the added benefit of being introduced to incubators, IIT alumni mentors and possible investors. 

At the Pan IIT Conference in December, Dr. Hiten Ghosh and Mr. Suresh Shenoy will host a plenary session on WHEELS, with a panel of experts who will focus on Nation Building through social entrepreneurship. The awards will be given at this plenary. All the track finalists will get their travel and stay for the conference sponsored by WHEELS.
