Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) at IIT Delhi has been nurturing innovation and transfer of technology through development projects, consultancy, entrepreneurship, business incubation, training etc. As a network partner (TUC) of DSIR, it is implementing the TePP programme in and around Delhi.
About TePP
Technopreneur promoting programme (TePP) is a novel support mechanism –designed to tap the innovative potential of entrepreneurial citizens of India. The objective is to promote individual innovators through support mechanism at various stages to become technology based entrepreneurs (Technopreneurs). TePP along with its network partners provides grants, technical guidance and mentoring to independent innovators to emerge as entrepreneurs by incubating their ideas and enterprise. Who are eligible for this programme?
Any innovative Indian say an Engineer, Scientist, Artisan, Housewife, Farmer etc is eligible. The individual must have an innovative idea/project, which has the potential of commercial utility and/or societal absorption.
The Financial support available at various stages:
· Micro Technopreneurship Support (TS) up to Rs. 75000/-. This is for micro budget innovation and is given as initial support to prepare the innovator to work out their initial ideas to the point where they can be considered for TPF.
· TePP Project Fund (TPF) support limited up to Rs. 15.00 Lakh for each project. The support is to convert an original idea/invention/know-how into working prototype/process.
· Supplementary TePP Fund (STF) Support to successful TePP innovators up to Rs. 7.50 Lakh. The support is for TePP innovators who have developed a product/process at concept proving stage for facilitating technology transfer to entrepreneurs. Activities supported are patent filing, testing/validation, building improved prototype/design, preparing technology transfer document etc.
· Seamless Scale-up Support (S3T) up to Rs. 45.00 Lakh through technology business incubation exercise for selected product/process.
