Dear Collegues,

I need you to help confirm the statement bellow, I am very interested
in a PHD health system and Hospital Mgt , i came accross an MBA
programme run by Punjab Technical UNIVERSITY and Academy of Hospital
Administration, they give a 1 yr waiver to students with a post
graduate degree /PGD in Hosp Mgt, but to my suprise i was sent the
following email,pls i need you guys to confirm the information bellow

Dear Dr Wale,
I contacted our regional centre at Lucknow & their CEO & myself did
extensive web browsing to find out if you could be admitted as a
lateral entry student on the basis of your M Phil. Unfortunately BITS
Pilani does not seem to have the approval of DEC(Ditance Education
Council) for conducting the programmes in distance mode. Therefore you
can do MBA Hosp Mgt of two years duration.If interested,pls let us
know

Dear Dr Wale:

I think the home work done by Col Gautam is inadequate. I would
recommend you to send the scanned copy of the support document which you
would have received with the original certificate of MPhil, as I and
others have received. The support document explains the right of
BITS,Pilani to grant MPhil degree.

Dear Wale,

I  suggest you contact BITS, Pilani - Dr Leela Rani  - explain your position

and specifically ask BITS if they can give you a copy of their document

showing that they are recognized for Distance Learning Programmes and to 

award Degrees.

I also suggest you do your PHD from a more reputed University in India - a University whose

Degrees are recognized overseas.

I tottally agree with margret on this.Her suggestion is the best one
out.Ofcourse you can always rely on the letter given to us with the
original dgeree as a back up.
