Dear sir/madam,
Hope this mail finds you in good health and spirit. I am Athul P G, a fourth year student of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Madras, and I would like to inform you about the formation of the Aerospace Engineering Association (AEA), IIT Madras and extend a warm welcome to you for becoming a part of this association.
The AEA has been formed after a lot of deliberation with the aim of promoting alumni-department relations along with improving student-faculty interaction, and it was officially launched on 29 April 2014 during the “Aero nite” which doubled up as a felicitation function for Prof. Job Kurian on his retirement. Many professors were supportive of the move and with the function witnessing Prof. Sujith performing alongside students in a musical band, the future of AEA looks bright and colourful. I feel that it would be wonderful if we could join hands and take this association forward.
On a more personal note, I feel that it would be very helpful for the students if they could connect with their alumni who can be a great source of guidance and inspiration, and realizing that this would be a great opportunity for facilitating the same has inspired me to take up a position in the managerial team of this association. Once again, on behalf of all the members of the team, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you for becoming a part of the Aerospace Engineering Association, IIT Madras.
