SPRING LOVERS
April is the cruellest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.
T. S. Eliot
I closed my eyes listening to the beating of his heart
Blood flow, the flow of life
-Begining of Spring.
He took me to the river
And showed me a black dragonfly.
It was shining in the sun moments before its death.
He said: Let's live for today.
Let's capture all pleasure in this day
And then nothing.

I close my eyes, evoking the lost cities
Konya, Cappadocia, Van ...
They carried a scent of skin, brown rivers, inexpensive perfumes,
The aroma of barley filled with grain and wool,
The aroma of slaughterhouses and tearooms.
I find fragments of that scent everywhere
In Koper and Venice
In the streets of Madrid and London bridges.
However, the scent isn't exactly the same,
But
it does resemble it,
Like Tyrian winds in Tar and Fids resemble one another
The scents of spring can not be forgotten
They live within the layers of years.
