I am submitting a revised version of my Spring poem

--REVISED (Unpublished)

The Lady in Spring Sandals

A herd of ducks quacking
and a chorus of birds squawking
brought a smile to my face.

Out of bed, I escaped, and ran to the lake
Yes, she has arrived for the ice cake
has melted away!

Happy ducks sail with pleasure
around a canoe paddled with leisure
by a young man donning a hat on his face

The naked trees stand straight and lean
waiting to be clothed  in green
by the lady promenading in sandals pink

Camellias, cherries, peonies
lilacs, laurels and lilies soon will bloom
Violet, yellow, white and pink

Everywhere the mystic lady will spring
and back to the living light will bring
chasing to Siberia stale Winter’s gloom.
