Good find and an original interpretation. Our Lips Our Sealed is such
a great song I doubt if any one could do a bad version of.

I thought I was seeing things when I saw this by the same artist: a
version of The Sex Pistols' God Save the Queen.

I like their Too Drunk To Fuck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hapufz1NFkY

and they do an intersting take on Grey Day, but can't find it on youtube.

they did two versions of Grey Day : one old (live version) which is on my blog : acoustic guitar and one female voice (top class) and a second, more recent more experimental : voice and drums .
All the best

I see they take on PiLs This Is Not a Love Song, but I think this is
the clear winner: XTC's Making Plans For Nigel.

I have and love this album. For any other Terry Hall completists the album
is available on CD, CD with bonus tracks and vinyl. If you only buy one go
for the bonus tracks, you should not be disappointed.

For those who don't know their first album featured a cover of Friday Night
Saturday Morning and they've done a radical cover of Madness' Grey Day live:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=24287338

I'd recommend their first album and the new one '3' or 'NV3', but I'm not so
keen on the second one 'bande A Parte'.

Cheers

you beat me to it. Only because I was trying to find it on You Tube!

You probably need to be logged into myspace to view this, but I'm not sure.

It took me ages to even recognise the song!

A search of you tube and lastfm bring up a staggering amount of covers of
Our Lips.

Might I humbly suggest that this is evidence that you are wrong to think
no-one could do a bad version:

Mind you it is a straight rob from the Go Go's arrangement, which remains my
favourite.

I agree it's not a million miles away from the Go Go's version.

And hands up who thought that that video was going to end in a wet t
shirt contest?

re the first album, yes Nigel is the clear winner. As a big XTC fan in my
spare time I love this version.

Marian and I Melt With You are other highlights for me.

Maybe I should give the second album more of a go? It has been sat here
unplaced since a few weeks after I first got it in 2006.

It's funny, but I doubt Terry and Jane mind as it all adds to their pension funds. It was from some film Duff starred in and was a minor hit in the States.

My take on these things is that if it gets young people interested in the music I've loved since childhood then it has to be a good thing.

Thanks for that. I never knew about the guitar version.

Could you please do a re-post as rapid share say the file has been removed due to not being accessed for ages?

Thanks (and thanks for continuing to post to the a tale of woe Terry Hall list I maintain).

Cheers

Having checked wiki to find out her date of birth, I think it is just about
legal, although possibly not reasonable to answer your question in the
affirmative and to add that I would use the word 'hoped' ;)
