The episode of TOTP which featured Madness, The Selecter and The Specials has gone down in 2 Tone folklore, and rightly so, but here's an episode which not too many on here could complain about:

00:05- Judas Priest- Living After Midnight (and charts) 01:05- Madness- Night Boat To Cairo 03:40- Barbara Dickson- January February 07:05- Dexy's Midnight Runners- Geno 08:30- The Pretenders- Talk Of The Town (video) 11:30- Leon Haywood- Don’t Push It, Don’t Force It (danced to by Legs & Co) 14:10- UB40- Food For Thought 17:00- The Selecter- Missing Words 19:55- B.A. Robertson- Kool In The Kaftan 22:45- The Lambrettas- Poison Ivy 25:20- Prima Donna- Love Enough For Two 28:25- The Jam- Going Underground 31:25- Dr. Hook- Sexy Eyes (playout/credits)

Dr Hook 'Sexy Eye's what more could you want?

It's astonishing that so many songs that are anthems and pillars of our lives could just happen to be in a single episode of TOTP.
Incredible how music was so fundamental to our identities yet for most young people today it's little more than candy floss or video game soundtracks.

I can remember all the performances , especially Weller wearing the apron, I just didn't realise they were all from the same episode.

I feel sorry for most young people today.  They don't seem to have that attachment to, or identity with, music.  For the  vast majority it's disposable by the mere act of  pressing  button or the swipe of a screen.
