I'm sure most posters on here will be aware that Paul Willo is behind
a double album of Specials tracks titled 'Specialized: A modern take
on Specials classics'. The album does exactly what it says on the tin
and is all for a good cause, the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Anyone who hasn't already ordered a copy should visit::

It's worth the money alone to at last hear someone do a decent cover
of Ghost Town!!

Jason

I bought my copy a couple of weeks ago so it should be with me
tomorrow or this week if all goes well, Can't wait to hear
International Jet Set and Holiday Fortnight. I wonder if Jerry knows
of this release I would love to hear his thoughts.

The version of International Jet Set is very good. And always its
strange to hear Holiday Fortnight with lyrics.

As with all albums of this kind there are versions which are carbon
copies of the originals whist other tracks are very much unique
interpretations.

I've been doing contract construction work at Great Ormond Street Hospital and seen a lot of sick kids so it was a no brainer for me.

Anyone who has received their copy of this CD will no doubt be trying
to getting to grips with the sheer volume of material on both CDs.
There are 41 tracks in total. For these old ears the stand-out tracks
are Swagga’s take on Stupid Marriage, Stereotype by Imani Hekima and
Ghost Town by Sammy Buzz.

just a litle more info on teh specialized project.  thanks to all those CD purchases, t shirts, gigs, and not least the specialized weekender in october 2012, we raised £25,000 for teenage cancer trust.

This year, we just couldnt stop it, so we are moving forward with a project called "bEAT teenage cancer"  - we have full backing from the publisher Sony, Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger.  Bands have made promises of tracks, and we anticipate mastering the CD in early April.

if youd like to keep in touch with the project, www.specializedproject.co.uk

i know this is a bit off the two tone topic (apart from tears of a clown/rankin full stop!)  but i hope you dont mind me giving you the heads up.
