The guy sorta tries to make it clear near the way bottom but seeing as
there has been versions of these replicas sitting on ebay for ages
with no bids, its pretty obvious that a lot of people are thinking
this is legit. And the worse part? This will be resold as the 'real'
thing by mistake. F**k.

An authentic/replica. Although the reproduction sleeve is actually 30
years old, reproduced from an actual Original he has in his
collection.

I'm glad he cleared that up...........

I'm pretty sure the phrase he is looking for is 30 year old fake.

It's hardly a Van Gogh is it?

If the sleeve in the listing is indeed a 30 year old fake it could
easily pass for the genuine article. But like Paul says, it's hardly a
Van Gogh.

this is all getting a bit confusing now so who actually knows if they
own the original or a replica. that Ebay copy looks like the real
thing regarless of what the seller is stating and what makes it look
more real is the old sleeve turning yellow with age.

Odder still is why would someone make a fake 30 years ago? Who can
anticipate the value of that??? In fact, it seems most people would
probably have been bummed when they saw the cool, 'new' 2 tone sleeve
that they got the 'crappy' stamped one (unless they were truly a
collector geek which was rare back then). I don't believe its 30 years
old at all; new but artificially aged is more likely.

Sad.

I think there's a clue as to how honest this bloke is: I reckon most people
who would have thought to make a forgery of that sleeve in 1979 would know
that it is Selecter, not Selector!
