Weak Signal VHF-UHF Forum Proposal for Pacificon 2013

I enjoyed meeting with Glenn, John and Kevin at the North Hills Radio Club Hamfest in Sacramento this morning.  We discussed brainstorming for a forum proposal for this year's Pacificon Convention along the lines of last year's VHF-UHF WSPR but including other weak signal digital modes such as JT9 and other WSJT modes, and W7PUA's DSP-10 project.  Afterwards, Kevin, Roger KI6FYF and I enjoyed lunch and a visit to the KP4MD 2 meter WSPR station.

Title: WSPR and VHF/UHF Propagation Study 

Abstract: This forum presents an overview K1JT''s Weak Signal Propagation Reporter basics for newcomers, followed by a VHF/UHF WSPR Study Group panel presentation of new developments in equipment stabilization and findings in VHF/UHF propagation phenomena.  Besides time for questions and answers, attendees are encouraged to participate in the discussion of the technical challenges and future direction for WSPR activity.
Notes: In addition to introducing WSPR. this forum is a follow up of the 2 Meter WSPR Study Group lunch meeting held at last year''s Pacificon.  Many of last year''s Pacificon attendees came to learn how to investigate ionospheric and tropospheric radio propagation with this increasingly popular digital mode.
