POLICE CLEARANCE

Good morning All,

 

I believe its going to become mandatory for all Scouters to have a police clearance.  Michelle Sidwala has agreed to go into uniform with the Meerkats as I am hoping to build up a back up should I start to do tours again and may not always be available on a Friday.

 

She is going to do the IAL course in Oct and the ruling with Meerkats you need Police clearance.  If I contact the lady who did the previous clearances she has a set rate for coming to Benoni.  Would we have the funds and should we have our permanent scouters who will be with the group for some time maybe have this done at the same time.  I was thinking of Richard,the Sidwala men,Teryn may has already being a teacher and then of course Gary.

 

Your thoughts.  I think we should also maybe open this to the district in order to share the travelling costs.

Morning all,

 

9^th Benoni has taken 26 bookings for police clearance and I have negotiated with Hayley the lady doing the tests that is we are 30 and over the cost per head comes down to R180.

 

Any feedback on this please as I need to confirm with Hayley asap as she needs to organise people to assist her with the load.
