When I try to boot up, the monitor shows an icon of a floppy with a question mark and then hangs up. I presume it is looking for the OS in the floppy drive. I understand there is a keyboard combo that will direct the computer to look for the OS in the hard drive. If so, can any of you tell me what the secret is? I don't have a manual for the machine. Thanks for any help.Peter Hall.

Assuming that the HD has a bootable system on it, the hardware
functions of the firmware should find it eventually. [I've heard
quotes of HOURS before a successful boot completion.] I.E. Start it
up, let it get to the 'floppy/?" screen, and go read a book for a while.
Assuming it does eventually boot up, go to whatever "system/boot"
selector your system uses, and set it to the available HD. (That's
what gets the PRAM boot info. set).
