Regarding the End of Combat Operations

Officers of the Army,

 

As you have no doubt hear, the Empire is ceasing all active combat operations against the New "Republic" due to the current cold war conditions.  The abdominal hypocrisy that the Rebel institution is has been unable to conquer us despite repeated attempts, giving evidence to the fact that the most respectable qualities of the Old Republic remain with us and not its self-professed successor.

 

The Army, besides essential security details and mobile strike forces onboard naval vessels, is being reorganized into pure reserve elements.  All of you have served the Army and the Empire with distinction and it has been my great honor and privilege to have led you.  My tenure as Command of the Army has been one of the most enjoyable experiences of my real-life and my career within the Empire.  I hope you feel that your time within the Army was worthwhile.  It is with my most sincere gratitude for your service that I have presented you with some final awards.  Continue to hold the virtues of an Imperial Officer close to you and live your life in accordance with them.  Where ever you may go, either to the blazing sands of Tatooine or the frigid ice of Hoth, know that you have been and always will be an Imperial Officer.

 

Gentleman, stay vigilant.  The galaxy is an ever changing place and war can hover right out of sight.  Should you receive the call to return to service, I would urge you to pick up a blaster and don your cap with all haste.
