We welcome you to Theatres for Feelings by artist-in-residence Mary Barton
at 1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery
opening on 2nd May 2026 at 5 pm.
Mary Barton is an artist based in central Australia. She is part of the Bathhouse arts collective in Mparntwe.
"These pieces have become theatres of emotion, homes for my feelings.

"These pieces have become theatres of emotion, homes for my feelings.
They are personal, layered with paper mache, drawings and personal notes hidden under the layers, plastic bottle tops, tragic love letters, photo copies of loved ones, a broken heart quartz."
