What the eye forgot—This exhibition is a heartfelt gathering of five artists from across India, each expressing their stories through the powerful symbol of thread.
It explores thread not just as a material but as a representation of memory, resistance, and connection - binding people, landscapes, and histories that often go unheard.
Rooted in diverse regional cultures—from Jharkhand to Nagaland and Kerala to Telangana—the artworks reflect on what has been forgotten or overlooked, gently bringing it back into focus. In this context, thread becomes a voice for the silenced, a gesture of healing, and a means to reimagine our connections to community and place.
The artists—Anshu Kumari, Arieno Kera, Prakruti Maitreyi, Kripa Lalu, and Vishnupriya—offer deeply personal and political reflections in a shared space. "What the Eye Forgot" is an invitation to slow down, remember, and feel the quiet strength of what connects us all.
