This is a one-person show by J. Subramani, who studied at Ken School of Art and Bangalore University. His life and work are interconnected; he draws the life around him as an artist from the farming community and lives on the outskirts of rural Bangalore. His minimal line drawings depict the agricultural reality of being close to growing crops, harvesting produce, and crowded scenes at local fairs selling cattle, grain, and flowers from the verdant land he tills. We see that the artist is engrossed in the spontaneous act of capturing the rhythms of rural and urban reality that is close to his heart. It is like keeping a record in a diary of life; it is a visual diary of a life lived on one's terms, and he loves what he does best.
