Niklas Delin (b.1989) is a painter from Stockholm, Sweden with a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, Norway, and a master's degree in fine arts from Konstfack, Sweden. Delin is currently an Artist-in-Residence at 1 Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery, Bangalore.
Niklas Delin paints what he sees, the moon, another painting, a dinner table.
The works may seem different from one another, but they are connected through their treatment of light, both as subject and as artistic language. They also reflect back on Niklas. He paints life as he experiences it.
In Tigers of Cubbon Park, Delin will exhibit paintings he made during his two-month stay in Bangalore. The residency is made possible with support from IASPIS - the Swedish Arts Grants Committee’s international programme for visual and applied arts.
