1Shanthiroad Studio/Gallery is delighted to invite you to two events this weekend: 

A discussion on Suresh Jayaram's new book, Cubbon Park: Citizens' Perspectives and Many Visions for the Future, at BIC, 18 July 2026, 6:30 pm. The panellists include retired IAS officer Chiranjiv Singh, Human rights activist Akkai Padmashali, Madhu Bhushan and Shakun D. 

 

On Sunday, 19 July 2026, 11 am at 1Shanthiroad, we are excited to launch Roopa Pai's debut book of translations, Everyday a Celebration: Selected Poems by Nisar Ahmad. Join us for a wonderful morning of poetry and music featuring a discussion between author Roopa Pai, academic and translator Tejaswini Niranjana and poet Mamta Sagar. Musician MD Pallavi will perform selected compositions by Ahmad.
