Over & Over again: Exhibition by Aamir Rabbani and Dheeraj Kumar

Aamir Rabbani and Dheeraj Kumar are Artists from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. They live away from their conservative hometown in urban settings, which gives them the courage to be themselves and explore their identities and desires through painting and collages.
Their exposure to the representation of queerness in art history and media has given them the vocabulary to explore their visual languages independently.
Aamir Rabani has a bachelor's in Fine Arts from Jamia Milla Islamia and works as a designer.
His small-format works are subtle drawings, and his watercolours with texts are like a diary of his life; Aamir represents his humble home, friends and himself as subjects in situations between dreams and reality.
He uses the image of Men to evoke desire and yearning to love and to be loved.
Dheeraj Kumar is a fashion designer/Artist who works with photographs and collages representing the male body in various poses juxtaposed with botanical motives and found objects.
The journeys of these two artists have come together through the kinship of same-sex desire.
