I've started two new sites in nineteenth-century studies I want to
make sure members here know about.

Nineteenth Century Studies on Facebook:

Planet Century 19: the nineteenth-century studies meta-blog
http://planet.century19.org

The Facebook group is a social networking site for those who engage at
a graduate, professional, or otherwise at a serious level with period
study. Everyone on this list is very welcome there. To join, 1)
follow the link to the group, 2) click on the link requesting to join
3) wait for me to add you in (I'm quick!).

The metablog is a site that allows readers to quickly scroll through
regularly updated nineteenth-century related posts, updated
regularly. I've selected the sites included, and am always glad to
add more good readings (provided they are pertinent to subject, of
good quality, have a feed option such as RSS, and are updated fairly
regularly--once a month at least).

Best,

Kelly

Thanks Kelly for this information and well done on creating the new
sites. I've added a page to the Google Group with a small number of
web resources listed in it so that there'll be a lasting record of
your sites here. If anyone else wishes to add any major resources that
relate to 19th-century children's literature, please feel free to do
so here: http://groups.google.com.au/group/19thcenturychildlit/web/web-resources?hl=en

Obviously, the big sites like Victoria Research Web cover everything
relevant to the period generally, so we don't need to replicate that
level of detail here, but having the major sites listed might be a
useful pointer for those new to the field who might stumble across
this group.

Best wishes,

Michelle
