Short Grammatical analysis of 3 :7 1°) We can notice that there is a big difference in interpretations of verse 3:7. On one side, we find the classic interpretation and of the other one, we find the interpretation of submetters. 2°) It seems to us that the key which will allow us to level these differences is around the word YAQULUN situated at the end of 3:7. 3°) Grammatically, when the subject is after the verb, we write YAQULU (without the final N). We can quote hundreds of examples through the Koran. 4°) When the subject is before the verb, we have to write YAQULUN (with the final N). It is the case in the verse 3:7. Then, we have to look there for the subject before the verb. 5°) Because we know that the subject of the verb YAQULUN (of the verse 3:7) is before this verb, let us try to list all the possibilities: 6°) It easy to realize that both first ones do not suit. Only the last subject is an obvious candidate. Subject = “RASIKHUNA FI L ILM”. 7°) If we accept that "RASIKHOUN FIL ILM" is the subject of the verb YAQULUN, everything becomes easier: in this case, the subject and the verb are consecutives (side by side) and it is not possible to separate them by any punctuation. 8°) Finally the verse 3:7, would be translated as follows: He sent down to you this scripture, containing straightforward verses - which constitute the essence of the scripture - as well as multiple-meaning or allegorical verses. Those who harbor doubts in their hearts will pursue the multiple-meaning verses to create confusion, and to extricate a certain meaning. None knows the true meaning thereof except God. And EL RASIKHUNA FIL ILM say, "We believe in this - all of it comes from our Lord.". And Only AWLU EL ALBAB will take heed. 9°) EL RASIKHUNA FIL ILM [َالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ]: This word literally means " Rooted or anchored in the science " or " those who are solidly rooted in the sciences. ". 10°) Verses including the expression ”EL RASIKHUNA FIL ILM” are: 3 : 7 and 4 :162. 11°) This expression is part of a set of ’’5 levels of the believers’’, as follows (in the Kuran): -. EL MUTAWASSIM [لآيَاتٍ لِلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ ]: -. AWLU EL NUHA [لآيَاتٍ لأُوْلِي النُّهَى]: -. AWLU EL ALBAB [أُوْلُوا الأَلْبَابِ]: -. KHABIR [خَبِير] -. EL RASIKHUNA FIL ILM [َالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ]: 12°) The 5 levels of the believers are very badly translated and very badly explained. It is another future task In chaa Allah. They must be 'popularized' because they are part of our various ways of understanding the themes of the Koran. 13°) The RASIKHUNA FIL ILM are people capable of recognizing if it is about a revealed writing or NOT. Thus, able to recognize the authenticity of a prophet. EL RASIKHUNA FIL ILM would be scholars or researchers in the field of the religion. 14°) After that, it would be justifiable to ask some questions. The first question is: << Is the deep sense of certain verses known only by God? >>. The answer has to be YES, especially if we are situated in a definite period when the science reached only a given level. 15°) Another question: << did God reveal us verses that we cannot really understand? >>. The answer has to be YES. These verses which we do not understand profoundly play a certain role in the harmony of the Koran. Other verses which are connected to the GHAYB (ex: Angels) can be understood only later or probably after the Resurrection. What does mean ‘’Al-Dhariyat’’, the title of the Chapter 51, for example? 16°) Another question: << if The ‘’RASIKHUNA FIL ILM’’ are people who can understand everything, translate everything suitably, then they are no more human beings. Then who are they? >> 17°) Another 2 last questions: << Are the Messengers of God (as Rashad ) RASIKHUNA FIL ILM? >> I would say YES, but the Messengers remain only human beings. << Can we quote well-known persons who are RASIKHUNA FIL ILM? > >. The answer has to be YES once again. 18°) It is comforting to realize that in both the 2 verses with the expression "RASIKHUNA FIL ILM " (3:7 and 4: 162), the deep meaning is the same: " those who can realize that a writing is divine, not human”. 19°) What a simple and beautiful way to comprehend a long verse that to separate its ideas by the main coordinating conjunctions "And = Waw" (in green in the text). |
