Arriving at 8:05 pm on friday evening and departing at 2:00 pm on sunday.

Anitha and I will be ready for the action as soon as we land.  How about if you guys get done with hopping bars all afternoon and just meet us as we land at 8.20-8.30ish.  We'll join you for dinner.  You'll all be pretty entertaining through dinner too :-).  One of us will also offer to take over the driving.

Seriously here's a suggestion for the jaanbaaz , you could change itinery to land in IAH, Houston say Friday morning( or earlier:) then drive to DFW and fly out from there. Kya khayal hai, my biryani is worth it, I promise;). It's no longer hyderabadi but more lucknowi now. ( sasural influence:)

Isnt there a restaurant serving hyd cuisine in Dallas.  I'd expect one in that city.  I heard there's Hyd's very own Paradise somewhere in the Plano area .  How about go there one day if you all place such a high premium on biryani.  Ironically, I have never eaten Paradise's biryani for having been a Hyderabadi - in fact not sure they even carried a veg version.  So, I might just get to try it in Dallas. 
 
Or the locals should know better about the good places.
 
Achcha tho ab I too am all curious about the final details.

Well you guys touched one of my interesting topic couldn't resist writing back on the Biryani ....

Dr sahiba tho competition ho jaye? Aap layeye lukhnowi Aur hum hyderabadi / nawabi. Waise loog yane ke mere dost yaha pehle mere Biryani pehchanthe baad mein mujhe.

Sorry for who can't read hyderabadi but I will take care of vegetarians too let me know the count.

There are bunch of indian restaurants hyderabadi ones too  but like Diwa said it's daal baraabar not like the authentic one we had in childhood.

Only issue would be that I can't cook NV on Friday at home but rarely some times there are exceptions let's see how it goes... Abhi Ashok iskey barey mein mazak udaaya tho thumari sach mein taang totheygi!!! Mere haat nahi but ......

Anyway we will have a call and let you all know.

Chetana, It was nice taking to you as you can tell I was in a meeting sorry couldnt talk much seriously couldn't recognize your voice. Maybe that will be the case when I talk you all when we meet. Hope it's all shipped and taken care of.

The biryani cook off sounds interesting.  But, please dont forget the raita :-).
 
Seriously guys, do you think you can pull this off?  Where will we eat?  In the hotel?  Wouldnt it be a lot easier to eat out & just have a good time.  All the clean up after the meal... and a hundred other things to do.  I dont mean to be the wet blanket here, but, there's a lot of things to consider to materialize this cook off. 
 
In the end, of course, I am game for anything guys.  Its all about being with you folks....  so I dont mind, I can even eat some good home-made biryani if thats what it takes:-)

Sorry to throw a damper, but I'm concerned about Saturday evening at the Rodeo.

I know I should have brought it up in conf.

Folks, fort worth is a depressing place with old graying buildings and then the Rodeo.....full of loud raucous crowds, dust, street food,horse smell......not sure we should take the limo there.

Cant we do boat ride/ brunch hang out in the hotel and then take the limo to a nice place in downtown Dallas where we can have a nice evening in good settings?

I am so glad you brought this up.  Sorry I was able to join the conference call only for a brief moment, but did not quite know how "finalized" the rodeo plan was to suggest alternatives.  In fact I wondered for a moment how my best friend from school, whom I thought I knew quite well, was going along with this plan :-).  So, I am glad, in more ways than one, that you brought this up.
 
I have been to one such deal in San Antonio and honestly was very much in line with Naaz's description.  I was not one bit impressed.  I did not care to take my pictures in front of a longhorn either :-).
 
I'd rather go to some place, like Naaz suggests, some place half way decent, half way nicer food...  & feel good about the "experience" of the limo as well :-).  I am not sure how rooted you guys are with this rodeo event, but if not, l strongly recommend we ditch it.
 
Naaz you know of some nice places downtown?  May be piano bar?  May be a Mexican place?  I'm sure there are better options.

I have included mine and CN's travel details.
 
I tried to find a flight with Arrival time that coincides with some of you but ended up with a 3:45 arrival.
 
Closest to that is Suri's. If he doesn't mind waiting then we can club the pick up or we can take a shuttle together or I can take the shuttle by myself to the hotel Fri afternoon.
 
Saturday morning I will take the shuttle to the airport from the hotel as I am taking a 6:55 am flight back.

We will meet you at Gaylord around 10:30 ish to check in. Please do not check in until Meher is there just you can hang around.
