The ice hanging from the branches of lifeless trees,
Reminds me of how your touch is still felt by my soul.
The rain could never wash it,
The snow could never freeze it,
This love is undefinable and madness.
The more you run away from it,
The deeper it plants its roots in you.
So deep are the roots of your love,
Confused is the heart,
That it sits by the frozen lake,
Asking the fishes,
Does it hurt to stay away from the Sun?
Or does it hurt to stay encaged?
This madness has left me playing on myself.
I buried love so deep that I can’t reach it,
The soul hates you,
The heart still loves you,
And the mind tries its best to erase you.
Little does it know,
The winter doesn’t leave all the tress lifeless,
It brings life as well.
With Love,
Asavri :)
