Our next Volunteer Work Day will be on Saturday, September 22, from 12 Noon to 4 PM.
Come
on out for a few hours, anytime between 12 Noon and 4 PM, on Saturday
September 22 for our third workday at the SF Bee-Cause Gardens at 3299
San Bruno Ave in San Francisco (cross-street is Ordway).
Plenty
of parking is usually available along San Bruno Ave in front of the
site, and the #9, 8X, 8AX and 29 Muni buses each stop on San Bruno Ave
one block away at Mansell.
Where: 3299 San Bruno Ave, San Francisco
When: Saturday, September 22, 12-4pm
Our
site is sunny but frequently windy. We still do not own any tools, work
gloves, etc, and water service to the site is still a month or so away,
so bring your own work gloves, a hat/sunglasses, wear layered clothes
and bring water to drink. SF Landscapes will have some tools we can use
and we will borrow others to ensure everyone who shows up can help. If
you have a cordless drill with screwdriver attachments or a cordless
screwdirver, bring it along with your recharged batteries. We'll have a
few for the day, and all the screws necessary to attach the pallets to
one another and to the structure, but more cordless drill/screwdrivers
will be welcome.
